About Us

The Adelaide University Hockey Club (AUHC) is one of the oldest continuing hockey clubs in South Australia. It was formed in 1912, and operates as part of Adelaide University Sport (AU Sport).

We have over 200 members based all over Adelaide comprising of Adelaide University students, graduates and students of other universities as well as non-students. Our juniors are predominately from the local West Beach area. AUHC is open to all hockey players, not just students and alumni. 

AUHC has men's and women's teams competing in most senior grades in the competition. We participate at the highest level for Men and Women in the Premier League competition.

For 2024, AUHC has entered a total of 11 senior teams:

• Men’s Open Age – 5 teams

• Women’s Open Age – 6 teams

We have also entered two U10 mixed teams for the 2024 season.

AUHC (along with AU Sport) own and operate the West Beach Hockey Centre, a facility with an international standard artificial water-based pitch with a brand new fully functioning clubrooms with bar/canteen and changerooms.
